Hilary Erhard Duff began her career in entertainment as the young star of the Disney Channel comedy series "Lizzie McGuire" (2001–2004). Her success there allowed her to begin recording music. Her first release was the Christmas themed Santa Claus Lane in 2002. Her second release Metamorphosis was a big success, topping the U.S. Billboard 200 and selling over three million copies.
